A productive, early season, short-day cultivar adapted to matted-row culture in Eastern Canada. <b>Origin:</b> Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Atlantic Food and Horticulture Research Centre, Kentville, Nova Scotia by Andrew R. Jamieson. K96-5 × Evangeline; cross made in 1997; selected in 1998; tested as K98-6, Canadian PBR applied for in 2005. USPP 18,340; 25 Dec. 2007. <b>Fruit:</b> larger than Evangeline, primary fruit wedge-shaped, others conic; achenes are level with the fruit surface; firmness and color similar to Evangeline; excellent fresh flavor; ripens with Evangeline and Annapolis. <b>Plant:</b> short-day; vigorous; runners well; productive in matted rows; moderately resistant to powdery mildew; susceptible to verticillium wilt.
