U.S. plant patent pending. <b>Fruit:</b> larger and firmer than Chandler; very flat conic; external color similar to Chandler, glossy; internal color darker than Chandler; achenes light to dark red, even with surface or slightly indented; very good flavor, less aromatic than Chandler; fresh-market, processing, and home-garden uses. <b>Plant:</b> short-day type, producing fruit over an extended period in arid, subtropical climates; production pattern similar to Chandler, but produces more early season fruit; high yielding; more vigorous than Chandler. Moderately susceptible to common leaf spot; relatively resistant to powdery mildew; equal or greater tolerance to two-spotted mite than Chandler; tolerant to viruses occurring in California.
