Orig. in Kentville, Nova Scotia, by D.L. Craig and L.E. Aalders, Canada Dept. Agr., Res. Sta. Introd. in 1972. Jerseybelle × Senga Sengana; cross made in 1963, selected in 1964, tested as K64-436. <b>Fruit:</b> size medium, globose conic; skin glossy, medium red; achenes yellow, level with surface; flesh medium red, medium firm, tender, flavor good; calyx separates easily; ripens late, 7 to 30 July; recommended for fresh fruit and processing. <b>Plant:</b> large; vigorous; productive; tolerant to leaf spot, mildew (in the Atlantic region); susceptible to mildew (British Columbia) and verticillium wilt at Vineland, Ontario, slightly susceptible to leaf scorch. Tested and suited to Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia).
