Orig. in Ontario, Calif., by Herbert C. Swim, Armstrong Nurseries. Introd. in 1955. Plant patent 1485; 19 June 1956. Parentage traces to Rio Oso Gem, Swatow, Socala, Early Imperial, Coolidge Double Red, Lukens Honey, Florence; selected in 1949. An ornamental fruiting variety. <b>Fruit:</b> large; shape of Babcock; skin color of Elberta; flesh yellow, freestone; ripens 7 to 10 days later than Babcock. <b>Tree:</b> large; vigorous; upright; flower large, double, pink, petals 14-16; leaf glands reniform; low winter chilling requirement.
