Hale × Cumberland; cross made in 1926; tested as N.J. 97. <b>Fruit:</b> medium to large; round, ridged along suture; skin attractive red; flesh white, streaked red, fine-textured, soft, melting, watery, freestone; ripens 4 weeks before Elberta; quality good. <b>Tree:</b> vigorous, spreading, productive, hardy, tolerant to bacteriosis; flower small, fairly showy; leaf glands reniform; chilling requirement 1150 h.
