Orig. in Agr. Expt. Sta., Univ. of Florida, Gainesville, by W.B. Sherman and named in northwest Mexico. Introd. in 1984. Complex parentage of Florida selections. Selected in 1981; tested as Fla. 81-30. <b>Fruit:</b> large; skin 90% purplish-red blush; flesh yellow, firm, freestone. Ripens 108 days after bloom. Flower showy; leaf glands reniform. Moderately resistant to bacterial leaf spot. Chilling requirement 300 chill units.
