Loring × [(Fairhaven × FV89-14) × (FV89-14 × Duke of Georgia)]; FV89-14 is an F2 of (Hiley × Fireglow) × Fireglow. Cross made in 1966 by V.E. Prince; selected in 1970; tested as FV7-1240 and BY7-1240. <b>Fruit:</b> medium; skin attractive red, light pubescence; flesh melting, clingstone. Ripens with Junegold, 3 weeks before Redhaven. Better shape and color and few split pits than Junegold, which it replaces. Flowers showy, self-fertile; leaf glands reniform; moderately resistant to bacterial spot. Chilling requirement about 650 h.
