Mission (Texas)

Originated as a chance seedling in Texas, about 1891. Nut: small, averaging about 25-28 kernels per oz, shell: medium hard and well-sealed. Harvest: 4 weeks after Nonpareil. <b>Tree:</b> blooms late, productive, with upright growth. Susceptible to Ceratocystis and salt injury.
