Rohde Red Valencia

Orig. near Sebring, Fla., by the late Paul Rohde, Sr. Original budwood was discovered in 1955 and budded to sour orange seedlings. <b>Fruit:</b> medium-large; typical of Valencia in appearance, time of maturity, and flavor; but the juice color is much deeper orange than that of known types of this cultivar, due to the orange pigment cryptoxanthin. <b>Tree:</b> large on rough lemon rootstock.
