Orig. in Phoenix, Ariz., by Daniel Diller. Introd. in 1920. Probably originated as a seedling from a shipment of trees purchased in Florida and fruited in Arizona; planted in the early 1890s; selected in 1910. <b>Fruit:</b> only a few seeds; resembles Parson Brown; highly frost resistant.
