Cox’s Orange Pippin × Jonathan, crossed in 1949. <b>Fruit:</b> large; oblong-conical; color yellow­green with carmine red blush; russet can cause skin cracking; flesh color yellow; flesh texture firm, fine-grained; flavor is one of the best, with high sugar and acid; harvest with Delicious; storage life good through March, must be stored 4 weeks before good quality develops. <b>Tree:</b> moderately vigorous; horizontal branching; moderately precocious; low yields; bloom season mid to late; triploid, does not produce viable pollen.
