Bailey of the above station; tested as N.J. 21. <b>Fruit:</b> large, averaging 2 3/4 inches in diam.; one-half to three-fourths of the skin washed and splashed red, attractive; firmer, has better shelf life and better shipping ability than most other early summer apple varieties; ripens about with Melba.
