Ben Davis × Jonathan; selected in 1920; tested as A-986. <b>Fruit:</b> size medium, resembling Jonathan; skin color like Jonathan, dots large and very conspicuous; quality fair; keeps late; ripens with Winesap; less likely to drop than Jonathan, which it resembles. <b>Tree:</b> vigorous; less susceptible to fire blight than Jonathan, resistant to canker; produces large crops.
