Orig. at Applethorpe, Queensland, Australia, by Granite Belt Hort. Res. Sta. Released in 1988. Delicious × Early McIntosh. Tested as 35-155 and GB 155. Fruit: medium, 60 to 70 mm; skin 90% to 100% cherry red with darker red overstripes; round to slightly conical; flesh creamy white, firm, medium texture; subacid, sweet, pleasant flavor. Ripens 1 week before Gravenstein, 4 to 6 weeks before Delicious; shelf life about 10 days. Tree: more vigorous than Delicious; precocious; regular bearing; flowers early, with Granny Smith.
