Orig. in Newton County, Ark., by Herman Smith. Introd. about 1940. Parentage unknown, but thought to be Delicious × Gravenstein; however, the original tree was received as a seedling from a nursery located in Farmington, Ark.; discovered in the late 1920s. <b>Fruit:</b> skin red over green. Apparently obsolete.
