Jonathan × Delicious; cross made in 1917; tested as A-603. <b>Fruit:</b> averages between Jonathan and Delicious in size; symmetrical, slightly conic; skin bright red, solid coloring, smooth; flesh firm, juicy, subacid; flavor good to excellent, milder than Jonathan, more sprightly than Delicious; excellent storage qualities, free of Jonathan spot. <b>Tree:</b> hardy; strong frame­work; moderately vigorous; resembles Jonathan; productive; resistant to apple scab and fire blight.
